STADTTEILZEITUNG – inklusiv
Ein ehrenamtliches Redaktionsteam gibt mit Unterstützung des Stadtteilbüros und des Bürgervereins die Stadtteilzeitung Weingarten heraus. Sie erscheint etwa alle drei Monate in einer Auflage von 5.000 Exemplaren und finanziert sich über Anzeigen selbst. Eine Auswahl der Artikel aus der aktuellen Ausgabe erscheinen hier in unterschiedlichen Formaten (übersetzt, vorgelesen).
Daycare Center „Kita Violett“ has a new director
In January, Ricarda Engel-Schneider took over the management of Daycare „Kita-Violett“. She is succeeding Christine Hartmann, who retired in December 2024. Ricarda is an educator and deaconess, and she moved from Thuringia to Freiburg over 20 years ago. She is married and has two adult sons. She gained many years of pedagogical experience at a daycare in Freiburg city center. As the deputy director there, she also familiarized herself with administrative tasks.
Since March 2023, she has been working at Daycare „Kita Violett“. Over the past year, the entire team agreed that she should succeed Christine Hartmann. This allowed her to familiarize herself optimally with the management tasks, and the handover was thus perfect.
Akki Müller (AM): What would you change about the work?
Ricarda Engel-Schneider (R.E.-S.): I have quickly come to love this district of Weingarten and the work here. I have great appreciation for what is! [referring to Christine Hartmann’s work], and I am currently not planning to change anything because it is good. What interests me most about the work is the concept of the Situational Approach (DJI Munich) used in the Violett Children and Family Center. AM: Christine emphasized team work very strongly in her farewell speech. How do you feel about that?
R.E.-S.: Without good teamwork, many things here would not be possible. We treat each other as equals and make decisions together. We all benefit from the experience of long-standing staff members, especially Susanne Schäfers-Stahl. Susanne has been working at Daycare Violett for 28 years and has recently also been serving as deputy director. (Daycare Violett is 33 years old.)
My first official act in February was to register us as a member of the Federal Association for Family Centers based in Berlin. I expect that the nationwide exchange will provide additional impulses for our work.
Due to the fire two years ago and the subsequent demolition of the main building, the provisional setup in „Haus Weingarten“ remains a challenge. According to plans, the new building will not be ready for occupancy until 2028. This requires patience and improvisation in everyday life. Not all ideas from the concept can currently be implemented because there simply isn’t enough space. For example, language courses for mothers are currently held at the children and youth center. This will change again after the move, creating a better connection to the families.
AM: What are your wishes for the future?
R.E.-S.: That the move to the new building goes smoothly. I am confident that we will manage a good transition. We have been involved in the planning process by the city. Our space planning concept is being implemented. The building will have three floors, with the top floor dedicated to the adult education center.

The New Book Booth at the Fountain – Krozinger Str. Park
Coinciding with the start of the cherry blossom season in spring, the new book booth was officially opened with music performances, coffee, and cake. This is a cooperative project by clubs, institutions, and volunteers in Weingarten. (The last issue of SZ reported extensively)
The new booth is very well received, regularly visited by people who take books, exchange them, or donate.
Residents of Weingarten asked: How does the „book exchange booth“ in Weingarten actually work?
SZ answers:
- Individual well-preserved books (not in large quantities) can be left in one of the two book booths for others to take or give away. Larger donations (boxes, bags) are welcome to be handed in directly at the neighborhood center at Bugginger Str. 50 or inquired about at EBW.
- If you want to read a book from one of the booths or keep it permanently, you can take it, even without exchanging it for your own book. In other words, there is no obligation to swap books. It’s a flowing exchange of giving and taking, and you don’t need to feel obliged to give something back if you’ve found some treasures.
- Book exchanges are also fine. It’s not mandatory, but you’re welcome to donate your own read books if you take one or more new books.
- A request: Please leave the book cell in a clean condition and place books you return or give away in the proper categories in a tidy state. This way, all users, especially the „book fairies“ , will be happy. C. Lunkebein/Juni 2025
Новая книжная будка у фонтана
честь начала цветения вишни весной официально открылась новая книжная будка с музыкальными выступлениями, кофе и пирогами — это совместный проект клубов, учреждений и волонтёров в Вайнгауэре. (Последняя статья в Süddeutsche Zeitung подробно освещала это событие)
Новая будка пользуется большим спросом, её регулярно посещают, чтобы взять книги, обменять их или пожертвовать.
Жители Вайнгауэра спрашивали: как вообще работают «обменные книжные будки» в Вайнгауэре?
SZ отвечает:
- Отдельные хорошо сохранившиеся книги (не сразу целыми пакетами) можно оставить в одной из двух книжных будок для дальнейшего дарения. Большие пожертвования (коробки, пакеты) можно сдать прямо в квартальный офис по адресу Бугингер Штрассе 50 или уточнить у EBW.
- Если вы хотите прочитать книгу из будки или оставить её себе, вы можете взять её, даже без обмена на свою книгу. Иными словами, обмен книг не является обязательным. Это потоковое отдавание и получение, и вам не нужно чувствовать себя обязанным возвращать что-то, если вы нашли несколько сокровищ.
- Обмен книгами тоже возможен. Это не обязательно, но вы можете оставить свои прочитанные книги, если взяли одну или несколько новых.
- Желание: покидать книжную ячейку в чистом состоянии и аккуратно класть книги, которые вы возвращаете или дарите, в соответствующие категории. Тогда все пользователи и особенно книжные феи будут рады! C. Lunkebein/Juni 2025
Support Us in Combating the Asian Tiger Mosquito!
The Asian Tiger Mosquito (Aedes albopictus), originating from Southeast Asia, continues to spread in the city of Freiburg. Since 2023, it has been known that a population of this invasive mosquito species has also established itself in the Weingarten district. It is not only considered a potential transmitter of various viruses such as Dengue and Zika, but also significantly reduces the quality of life for residents. Especially its daytime activity and aggressive biting behavior can cause strong local disturbances.
Tiger mosquitoes prefer to live near humans and mainly use artificial breeding sites for reproduction. To prevent further spread and nuisance, garden inspections are carried out in affected areas by employees of the company Icybac to identify and subsequently eliminate or treat potential breeding sites. The treatment of these sites is done with a biological larvicide (B.t.i.).
To ensure that the tiger mosquito does not spread further this year and to keep the population as small as possible, we need your help! Please take preventive measures to avoid or eliminate breeding sites. Basically, any containers that are filled with water for several days are potential breeding grounds. The most important are rain barrels, which must be completely and permanently covered with a mosquito net. Coasters and watering cans also play an important role. Coasters should generally be avoided. Watering cans can be turned upside down and hung on a nail. It’s best to develop your own system to keep all containers dry during the summer holidays and to be able to continue using the garden after your return.
Without standing water, female tiger mosquitoes have no opportunity to lay their eggs. Permanent bodies of water such as ponds, pools, flowing waters, and soakaways are not breeding sites and do not need to be treated.
Findings can be reported with a high-quality photo. At least one identifying feature must be visible in the photo (see image). These are: 5 white rings on the hind legs, a white longitudinal stripe on the head.

Підтримайте нас у боротьбі з азіатською тигровою комахою!
Азіатська тигрова комаха (Aedes albopictus), яка походить із Південно-Східної Азії, продовжує поширюватися у місті Фрайбург. З 2023 року відомо, що у районі Вайнгартен також сформувалася популяція цієї інвазивної комахи. Вона вважається потенційним переносником різних вірусів, таких як денге та вірус Зіка, а також значно погіршує якість життя людей. Особливо її активна вдень і агресивна поведінка може спри��иняти сильне незручності на місцях. Тигрові комахи переважно живуть поблизу людей і використовують штучно створені місця для розмноження. Щоб запобігти подальшому поширенню та незручностям, у постраждалих районах працівники компанії Icybac проводять огляди садів для виявлення потенційних місць розмноження та їх подальшого знищення або обробки. Обробка місць розмноження здійснюється за допомогою біологічного ларвіциду (B.t.i.). Щоб у цьому році тигрова комаха не поширювалася далі і популяція залишалася якомога меншою, нам потрібна ваша допомога! Вжийте профілактичних заходів, щоб уникнути або знищити місця розмноження. Взагалі, всі ємності, які наповнюються водою на кілька днів, підходять. Найважливішими є дощові бочки. Їх потрібно щільно та постійно накривати сіткою від комах. Також важливу роль відіграють підставки під горщики та лійки для поливу. З підставок слід взагалі відмовитися. Лійки для поливу можна перевернути і підвісити на цвях. Найкраще придумати власну систему, щоб під час літніх відпусток усі ємності залишалися сухими, а сад — використовувався далі після повернення. Без «стоячої води» самки тигрової комахи не мають можливості відкладати яйця. Постійні водойми, такі як ставки, басейни або річки, а також дренажні ями, не є місцями розмноження і тому не потребують обробки.
Знайдені особини можна повідомляти за доп��могою якісного фотографії. На фото має бути видно принаймні один ознака ідентифікації (див. зображення). Це: 5 білих кілець на задніх ногах, біла смуга вздовж голови.

С октября 2021 года имеется возможность заниматься массовым спортом в Дитенбах парке. „Dietenbachpark“: парк, где можно заниматься спортом
С октября 2021 года имеется возможность заниматься массовым спортом в Дитенбах парке. Каждую субботу в 9:00 в парке проходит пробежка. Что когда-то начиналось с нескольких участников, сейчас превратилось в мероприятие в котором участвуют более 50 человек каждую неделю. Идея проста: 5-ти километровый путь через парк надо пройти, пробежать трусцой. При этом не стоит цель прибежать первым, а получить удовольствие от участия. Каждому участнику, независимо от возраста, будут рады. Также участники прогулки ценят спокойную атмосферу.
Команда мотивированных добровольцев, каждое утро субботы, обозначает маршрут и во время проведения мероприятия находится на месте.
Для амбициозных участников предлагается бесплатный замер результата. Для этого необходима разовая регистрация на сайте, которая не является обязательной. Место встречи постоянно около игровой площадки (рядом скейт и байкпарк).

Desde octubre de 2021, el Dietenbachpark ofrece otra oportunidad para mantenerse activo. Todos los sábados se celebra allí el Dietenbach parcrun. Lo que en su día empezó con un puñado de participantes se ha consolidado en el distrito de Weingarten con más de 50 partici-pantes cada semana. La idea es muy sencilla: se recorre a pie, trotando o corriendo una ruta de 5 kilómetros por el parque Dietenbach. El objetivo no es llegar como primero a la meta, sino divertirse juntos mientras se hace ejercicio. Todo el mundo, independientemente de su edad, es bienvenido y puede participar a su propio ritmo. Un equipo de voluntarios marca la ruta ca-da sábado por la mañana y está presente durante todo el evento. Para los más ambiciosos, el equipo ofrece incluso cronometraje gratuito. Sólo hay que inscribirse una vez en la pagina web, pero la inscripciòn no es obligatoria. El punto de encuentro es siempre en el parque in-fantil cerca de el skatepark.
